The Observations and Measurement (O&M Standard) is in revision.
This work is beng closely coordinated with the ISO TC 211 O&M Edit Committee.

History and background First meeting: 3rd December 2008, Valencia TC Objective:
to run the OGC side of the O&M v2.0 joint project
Provide a forum for OGC SWE group to feed into O&M v2.0
Consider CRs submitted by OGC members
submit to ISO/TC 211 if appropriate
Expected completion date: DIS 2010-06, FDIS 2011-06

This SWG is focused on (a) reviewing changes to the O&M standard proposed by the ISO 19156 Editing Committee operating under the auspices of ISO/TC 211 (b) processing CRPs to be included in the OpenGIS® Observations and Measurements (O&M) Implementation Standard.

The Scope of Work (SOW) will be to (a) monitor the progress of the ISO 19156 Editing Committee and review changes proposed to the standard (b) collect all outstanding CRPs, evaluate each of these proposals, and make edits to the standard based on change requests and related decisions of the SWG membership. The SWG may announce cut-off dates for the submission of CRPs that are to be addressed in the next revision in accordance with the OGC TC Policy and Procedures. Additional CRPs submitted after the cut-off date may be addressed at the discretion of the SWG based on criticality of the change and available time and resources. The deliverables of the SWG will be revisions of the standard for consideration by the membership for adoption. The SWG may decide to address selected CRPs immediately in a corrigendum of the current standard.
