OAB Recommendation: New OGC Document Type
Defense and Intelligence DWG Motion
OAB Recommendation: New OGC Document Type
IMPORTANT: The OGC Architecture Board recommended a new OGC Document Type: Public Engineering Report. The motion and discussion was:
The TC recommends that the PC approve the following new OGC document type: Public Engineering Report
- Engineering reports originate in an OGC Interoperability Initiative. These reports are initially internal OGC documents associated with a specific test bed, pilot, or IE.
- Having a public release of an engineering report will allow us to more easily “bin” the document and relate the content to a specific IP initiative, such as OWS-6, and to relate the document to a specific thread (which can cross IP activities), such as Decision Support.
- New bin on the public OGC web site. Note: We will be slightly reorganizing the public web site to better “expose” or allow discovery of OGC public documents.
