MPSuperShape

MPSuperShape can import shapes from an external file. Do this by selecting the MPSuperShape: Import option on the MapPoint Tools menu. MPSuperShape will then display a standard file selection dialog box. Select the required input file. The file extension specifies the file format. Press OK to import the shapes.

At the moment, MPSuperShape can only import from a GML file, but other formats will be added in future versions.

GML Files

MPSuperShape can import and export GML files. GML ('Geography Markup Language') is an open standard based on XML, that is intended for geographical information. The GML standard is controlled by the Open Geospatial Consortium. The standard is online at the following website:

MPSuperShape's GML schema uses the namespace prefix of mpss. The XML schema is available for download here:
