Wildland Fires in Africa WG

The Wildland Fires in Africa scenario demonstrates access to harmonized geospatial data and tasking of sensors in the context of GEOSS. For the area of South-Africa, geospatial data provided by MODIS is analysed for hotspot events that possibly indicate wildland fires. This information is used to task NASA's EO1 satellite to provide prompt imagery data of the hotspot area.
