2016 RFC Comment Resolution” as an OGC Comment Resolution Document
(treated as a Discussion Paper)

The CDB SWG SWG recommends that the OGC Technical Committee
approve release of [OGC 16-112] “OGC CDB 1.0 2016 RFC Comment Resolution” as an OGC Comment
Resolution Document (treated as a Discussion Paper).

There was no objection to unanimous consent.

Abstract: This document contains general comment
responses, and specific response to 51 RFC comments from 10 Evaluators.

Approval of “Benefits of Indoor
Location - Use Case Survey of Lessons Learned and Expectations” as an
OGC Discussion Paper

The
Members approved release of [OGC 16-084] “Benefits
of Indoor Location - Use Case Survey of Lessons Learned and Expectations” as an OGC Discussion
Paper.

There was no objection to unanimous consent.

Abstract: This
paper collects the results of a survey on the benefits of indoor location,
which was jointly prepared and launched by OGC – the Open Geospatial
Consortium, InLocation Alliance and i-locate project at the beginning of 2016.

Approval of “Comparing CityGML and IndoorGML based on a use-case at Lotte
World Mall” as an OGC Discussion Paper

The
Members approved release of [OGC 16-012r1] “Comparing CityGML and IndoorGML
based on a use-case at Lotte World Mall” as an OGC Discussion Paper.

Abstract: This
paper gives a comparison between CityGML 2.0 LoD 4 and IndoorGML with a
use-case data at Lotte World Mall from two viewpoints – representation view and
application view.

Approval of “Emergency and Disaster Management Information Framework” as an
OGC Discussion Paper

The
Members approved release of [15-095r1] “Emergency and Disaster management
Information Framework” as an OGC Discussion Paper.

Abstract: This discussion paper considers how best to
facilitate information handling and hence planning and decision making for
responding to emergencies and disasters. 
It proposes a federated information architecture underpinned by OGC web
service standards to allow an ecosystem of tools to be developed that share a
common information service layer.

 

Engineering Report approvals

Approval of “IMIS Profile Recommendations for OGC Web Services” as an OGC
Public Engineering Report

The Members approved release of [15-118] “IMIS Profile
Recommendations for OGC Web Services” as an OGC Public Engineering Report.

Abstract: This OGC document gives guidelines and
recommendations on the development of profiles for OGC standards to support
incident management information sharing based on internet of things and Sensor
Web technology. It summarizes the corresponding findings of the OGC IMIS IoT
Pilot.

Approval of “IMIS IoT Protocol Mapping” as an OGC Public Engineering Report

The Members approved release of [16-093] “IMIS IoT Protocol Mapping” as an
OGC Public Engineering Report.

Abstract: This engineering report presents the different
mechanisms connecting heterogeneous IoT sensing devices to OGC SensorThings API
and OGC Sensor Observation Services.

Approval of “OGC Soil Data
Interoperability Experiment” as an OGC Public Engineering Report

The Members approved release of [16-088r1] “OGC Soil Data Interoperability Experiment”
as an OGC Public Engineering Report.

Abstract: This engineering report describes the results of
the Soil Data Interoperability Experiment (IE) conducted in 2015. The IE
evaluated existing models and proposed a common core model which was tested
through the deployment of web services and demonstration clients.

Proposed new Working Group: “Citizen Science DWG”

The Citizen Science
DWG Charter Members recommend that the OGC Technical Committee recommend
approval of the Citizen Science DWG.  The charter is document is posted as [16-072r1].

Proposed new Working Group: “Land Administration DWG”

The Land
Administration DWG Charter Members recommend that the OGC
Technical Committee recommend approval of the Land Administration DWG. 
The charter is document is posted as [16-082r1].

Proposed new Working Group: “Marine DWG”

The Marine DWG Charter
Members recommend that the OGC Technical Committee recommend approval of the Marine DWG.  The charter is document is posted as [16-090].
