WFS Simple - standard data format proposal (BXFS)
This page represents an effort to define a standard, universal data description and encoding format for WFS Simple. It doesn't change the basic proposal, except to strongly encourage implementers to use this XML data format whenever possible. Take a look at the following files:
- bxfs.xsd: the XML schema for defining DescribeFeatureType and GetFeature responses.
- storetlegacy_describefeaturetype.xml: a sample DescribeFeatureType response for Legacy STORET data.
- storetlegacy2_getfeature.xml: a sample GetFeature response for Legacy STORET data.

This schema (bxfs.xsd) was derived from a schema developed by CubeWerx Inc. (http://www.cubewerx.com) for the CIPI 1.2 project in OGC and has since then been maintained and extended by CubeWerx Inc. The source schema can be found at http://schemas.cubewerx.com/schemas/bxfs/0.0.2/BXFS.xsd. Raj made some modifications to the original schema which I am now reviewing. A new revised and combined schema should be posted here in the new year.
