This one day workshop is focused on Users and their interaction with the Global Earth Observation System of Systems.  Providing a forum for users to interact with technologists to address the benefits and challenges of advanced global system of systems providing earth observing data and information  The workshop was held in conjunction with the IEEE GRSS International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Workshop (25-29 July 2005).    Agenda for Workshop

GWS Demonstration Scenario

The OGC Demonstration applied components with a wide range of OWS interfaces in a scenario of damage assessment from the Andaman Sea Tsunami, 26 December 2004.

The GEOSS Demonstration was developed by OGC Members including: Boeing S&IS Mission Systems (US), DM Solutions Group (Canada) (in partnership with several East Asian Universities), the European Space Agency (ESA) (including Spacebel as contractor to ESA), George Mason University (GMU) (US), Intergraph (US), the US National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA), PCI Geomatics (Canada), Raytheon (US), Spot Image (Canada), and the US Geological Survey (USGS).  The demonstration was led and presented by Professor Liping Di of George Mason University.
