- AIP-3 Development Milestones
- Objective: SBA scenarios implemented with common architecture use cases
- AIP-3 Use Cases - AIP-2 plus several new use cases.
- Scenarios and linked Use Cases partially complete by May 25th
- Now: Development of services and components.
- SBA WGs to identify resources for implementing their scenarios
- Develop wiring diagram showing the connections between resources
- Testing begins in September: 1) Use Case Testing, 2) Scenario Testing
- Demo captures complete in Early October - Capture workshop as virtual event.

- Water - Update provided by Will Pozzi, Josh Lieberman and Doug Cripe
- Water ontology almost finished (includes drought ontology)
- Working with Stefano and Mattio on incorporating into EuroGEOSS Broker
- Group had telecon with Doug Cripe (Secretariat lead for IGWCO Global Water Cycle COP). Doug was on the plenary telecon as well.
- Kicking off a global drought management program and interested in linking with AIP activities (scenarios, component registration, awareness, etc)
- Next telecon on Friday July 9 at 9 am EST
- Energy - Updated provided by Lionel Menard
- Continuing to work on connection between WPS and the visualization portlet based on genesis infrastructure
- WPS calculates environmental impact assessment from the use of a given PV system (according to various parameters)
- Working on catalog and clearinghouse with issues remaining
- Josh will organize telecon with clearinghouse group to resolve these issues and others
- Telecon scheduled for Friday July 9 at 10 am EST
- Last Wed, Lionel gave a presentation at the Genesis user group meeting
- Much interest in AIP-3
- Possibilities for leveraging the tools in genesis
- Also communicating with Greg Undich on User Registry Requirements
- Lionel forwarded requirements for Energy (wind and solar)
- Continuing to work on connection between WPS and the visualization portlet based on genesis infrastructure
- Biodiversity - Update provided by Mattia Santoro
- Next telecon is on Thursday July 8, focusing on identifying the components available and/or currently in development
- Obtained update by Doug regarding the Arctic SDI (contacts with NCAR to access climate model outputs in WMS)
- For the e-habitat scenario, working on development of WPS and semantic-enabled discovery service
- Components will be released next week and testing will begin soon after
- Further discussions are needed to figure out how to work with partners for the semantic-enabled discovery (e.g. with the water group; what format does the ontology have to be in; etc)
- Need to encourage the organization of a semantics WG telecon
- Health - Update provided by Stefan Falke
- Still working on gathering services and components in support of the 2 WG scenarios
- Goal is to have as many of those services/components registered in the CSR so that they're findable and accessible
- Looking at WPS from U of ? currently providing spatial interpolation for air quality monitoring within Europe, and investigating whether it can be adapated for the US as well
- Next telecon Thursday July 15 (every other week)
- Still working on gathering services and components in support of the 2 WG scenarios
- Disaster - Update provided by Arnaud Cauchy
- The group will set up a telecon shortly and announce to list
- Approach is to find as many services/data/resources currently in the registry that could be used to support the scenarios in addition to registering others that are not yet in the registry.
