      • Update by Lionel via e-mail
      • The CSW Catalogue (http://energeo.researchstudio.at/geoportal/catalog/main/home.page) has been officially "approved" by the GEOSS Registry (Yuqi). It will replace the former Renewable Energy WAF. I have populate new Metadata pointing to existing Web Service (WSDL) and new OGC ones (WMS and WPS). I will work for the promotion of this CSW Catalogue to the Energy Community. I have currently a pending question to the Clearinghouse WG about synchronization of the Registry and Clearinghouse/Portal as it happens that the WAF that I removed a while ago is still popping out on queries in GEOSS portals where the new EnerGEO CSW is not yet taking into account.

      • The GUI development is going on. We have connected the WPS deployed on our GEOSS Community Portal (http://toolbox.webservice-energy.org/TOOLBOX/WSDL/AIP3_PV_Impact/AIP3_PV_Impact.wsdl) to the GENESIS Visualization Portlet (see the attached snapshot as the portal is not yet public). The output format is still raw xml and we need to transform this output into WFS in order to allow a proper display of the returned value of the WPS in the Visualization  Portlet. Things are on good tracks.

      • Lionel will present the GEOSS Energy Scenario to the GENESIS User Group Meeting at the EC in Bruxelle on 30th of June (I won't attend the net Telecon the 29th).

      • Lionel got a proposal from Gregory Ondich about presenting GEOSS URR (User Requirements Registry) to the Energy WG. I'll make a reply asap.

      • No Telecon planned, though I think it should be good to have one, once we'll achieve a more or less concrete example to discuss about. I will check with the GENESIS folks in order to open the example to everyone.
    • Biodiversity - Stefano Nativi, Doug Nebert, Mattia Santoro
      • Mattia provided an update.

          • Processing Use Case was discused in the E2E Telecon yesterday
          • Greg Yetman taking action to see what the scenarios need in terms of a Processing Use Case
        • Also working on semantics topics.
    • Health - Stefan Falke, François Marques, Erin Robinson.
      • Stefan provided and update
      • Two Scenarios are being developed.  The names and scopes have changed slightly

      • Common Metadata proposal for GEOSS is progressing
      • Next telecon will be July 1st
    • Disaster - Didier Giacobbo, Arnaud Cauchy
      • Pinky from GIS FCU provide an update
      • Arnaud is working on the scenario based on INSPIRE and OGC activities
      • The next step is to begin identifying resources (services and components) and developing wiring diagram
      • Arnaud is planning to schedule the next telecon.
    • Water - Will Pozzi, Stefano Nativi, Liping Di
      • e-mail update from Will
        • Rick Lawford and Will had a meeting at the OGC conference. There seemed to be universal agreement among all members of the Water community represented there that governmental decision makers (users) would not be consulting a GEOSS drought impact decision support tool for information on their own jurisdictional areas, but, instead, GEOSS would be invaluable for connecting together water flows that would cross jurisdictional boundaries. For that, we could use ontology-enabled semantic data integration to integrate together these different records. A drought impact decision support tool sets impact notification as either "pre-alert," "alert," or "emergency," depending on whether supplemental water sources (ground water from aquifers) or surface water from reservoirs are available; if so, the impact notification would be "alert," as opposed to emergency. At the OGC water domain working group meeting we had discussions with USGS and Environment Canada about groundwater aquifer classification language that could be incorporated into the ontology and water usage language (from USGS) that could be incorporated into the ontology, combined with European Union water usage language, that would meet the drought scenario of demand attenuation (substitution of treated wastewater for fresh water for agricultural irrigation) as a drought impact mitigation measure. The ontology would integrate these records together for groundwater and water usage, and these records would be accessible to users to provide additional information on water imports into an area through the EuroGEOSS broker.
